Jesus
JESUS IS GOD
John 1:1 tells us that Jesus pre-existed the Creation. That He commenced the Creation and thus was already there at the beginning to accomplish all that it is. “In the beginning was the Word (speaking of Jesus), and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” Jesus is the second person of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, as the Bible teaches. Jesus has always existed and is both Creator and Savior of the world. He created man to be in close relationship with Him, but we have all sinned by choosing our own ways, and were separated from God. John 1:1-14, Revelation 22:13; 16
JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS FOR THE SINS OF ALL MANKIND
Jesus came and lived on the earth as a man (John 1:14), still fully God, yet also fully human. He did this in order to fulfill God’s promise to send a Savior who made a way for mankind to be saved from their sin and fully restore man’s relationship with God. We have all sinned and deserve punishment for that, this is what the Bible calls Hell. It was out of love for you and for me that Jesus lived a sinless life and was murdered on the cross in our place, and paid the penalty for our sins. When Jesus took our sin upon Himself, He became a substitute for us on the Cross, tasting death as the Father executed His judgement upon His Son instead of us for the sins that we committed. Jesus fully asorbed every ounce of wrath for the Believer - past, present, and future and made a way for us to come Home. Matthew 1:21, John 1:29
JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD
As evidence that His Word is true, and His promises are trustworthy, Jesus was raised from the dead three days after he died on the cross! He is called the “first fruit” of the resurrection because when He rose again, we were guaranteed that we too will rise again after death to be eternally with God in Heaven forever! For those who believe in His death and resurrection, our sins are washed away, covered by the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. And we are restored, even called the very children of God because of what Jesus has done for us! Luke 24:5-6, 1 Peter 1:3, 1 Corinthians 15:14-19, Romans 6:8-11
JESUS SENT US HIS HOLY SPIRIT WHILE HE IS CURRENTLY RULING IN HEAVEN
Although Jesus isn't physically with us today, His Holy Spirit (the third Person of the Trinity) is within and with us. Scripture teaches us that He is with us to transform us more into the image of Jesus and empower us for the work of the ministry within the Church and to bring about salvation to those outside of the Church. He is our teacher, our comforter, our empowerment, and so much more. John 16:7, 1 John 4:13, Luke 11:13, 2 Corinthians 5:5, Galatians 3:1-5
JESUS WILL RETURN FOR HIS CHURCH
Jesus is coming back! He will come back in a first return to gather in the air the Resurrected Dead and Transfigured and Raptured living Saints, sequestering them safely in Heaven for a seven-year period of Tribulation on Earth as the Father pours out His wrath upon the unrepentant, Christ-rejecting people.
At the conclusion of Tribulation, Jesus will return a second time in visible glory bringing all those who lived in faith of His salvation . They will govern with Him during a Thousand Year reign of righteousness , the end of which brings final judgement upon Satan and his followers and the dawn of Eternity future upon a wonderfully restored Creation. Matthew 24:44, Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 John 2:28, Revelation 22:20

HOW YOU CAN KNOW JESUS
You were created to know God in a personal way. You can have a relationship with Him, through His Son, Jesus. God made a way for you to be in relationship with Him. God wants a relationship with you, so He made the ultimate sacrifice to make that happen- sending His Son to die in your place. He forgives, restores, and loves each of us who believe in Jesus.

Romans 10:9-19 says, "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." Salvation is a gift. That's it, done. Period. End of Sentence. You are Saved.

1. REALIZE THAT YOU ARE A SINNER
No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person, in comparison to the heart of God. That is because we are all sinners. This basically means that we are enemies of God, our Creator. He forms our souls and knows us before we are even in our mother's womb according to Psalm 139. The Bible says, “There is none righteous, no not one.” We cannot become who we are supposed to be without Jesus Christ. We cannot know God in a personal way without Jesus, His Word, and His people. He made a way for us to receive full forgiveness through His Son, Jesus.

2. RECOGNIZE THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOU.
The Bible tells us that “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die in our place when we least deserved it. What does this mean? It means that He made a way for you to know Him. Are there many ways to God? Do all religions lead to God? No. There is one way. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man (referring to mankind) comes to the Father (God) except through me."

3. REPENT OF YOUR SIN.
The Bible tells us, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.” The word "repent" means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him. We cannot live a life of repentance without help from Jesus and the Holy Spirit. This means that as a Jesus follower, you surrender your life to Jesus. He said, "Take up your cross and follow Me." That means there is a denial of old patterns and thinking, and through the Holy Spirit a new person emerges - one who is seeking Jesus in life. (Colossians 1:13-14, John 3:16-17)

4. RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST INTO YOUR LIFE.
Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in…” If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply BELIEVE in and put your faith in Jesus. Call out to Him, He is listening.

Here is a way to begin the conversation in your new relationship:

“Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you for saving me. I know I am a sinner. I know I have done things against you and have a very nature that is against you. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my destructive patterns and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Help me find a Jesus-centered church to thrive in. Amen.”
Does this mean that you are instantly free from all struggles? No. This means that you now have the power through Jesus, to make new decisions. Your wisdom will grow as you read the Bible and fellowship with other Jesus followers. Your heart will change. If you have believed in Jesus, as your Savior, you have now been given a new soul. You have been reborn. Your soul is sealed with Him. Evidence of that is the fruit in your new life, which is brought about only through your relationship with Jesus. (Galatians 5:22-23).

5. BE BAPTIZED
Although baptism does not save you and it does not cleanse you from sin, it is an important outward expression of an inward change. The Bible says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Jesus says that we are forgiven the instant that we believe in Him. By choosing to be baptized, you are publicly declaring that Jesus is your Lord and Savior and that you are resting in His payment for your sin and are being transformed into His image by His Spirit.

WHAT IS PRAYER?
Conversations with God
Prayer is a vital and personal way of communicating with God - an ongoing, honest, and relational conversation between the believer and the Lord. It’s not about ritual or repetition, but about heartfelt dialogue, aligning one's heart with God’s will. It's basically just talking to God, either out loud or in your mind.

Key aspects of prayer include:
-
Intimacy with God: Prayer is how believers grow closer to God, seeking His presence, wisdom, and peace.
-
Dependence: Prayer expresses our trust in God’s provision, guidance, and power.
-
Alignment with Scripture: Prayer should be consistent with God's Word, guided by the Holy Spirit.
-
Intercession: Believers are encouraged to pray not only for themselves but also for others.
-
Thanksgiving and Worship: Prayer includes praise, gratitude, and worship, recognizing God’s goodness and sovereignty.

According to the Bible, prayer is presented as a central part of a believer’s relationship with God. It is communication with God that includes praise, confession, thanksgiving, intercession, and personal requests. Prayer is both a privilege and a command, and it reflects faith, dependence, and trust in God.
Here are some key verses that define and describe prayer:

Communication with God
Philippians 4:6 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." This shows that prayer involves bringing everything - our needs, concerns, and gratitude - before God.

Drawing Near to God
Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Prayer gives believers access to God’s presence with confidence.

Jesus as Our Example
Luke 5:16 "So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed." Jesus, though divine, prioritized prayer, modeling it as essential for spiritual strength and communion with the Father.

Continual and Faithful Practice
1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing." Prayer is not meant to be occasional, but a continual part of a believer’s life.

According to God’s Will
1 John 5:14 "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." Effective prayer is aligned with God's will and rooted in faith. God is not a vending machine. The closer you get to the Lord, your prayers change from health and wealth, to focus on the heart and others. God still wants to hear all of our needs, but remember, He wants a real relationship with you which means - don't treat him like a personal genie!

The Bible portrays prayer as a vital, sincere, and faith-filled conversation with God, encompassing worship, dependence, and alignment with His will. It's how we grow in relationship with Him and seek His guidance, help, and presence in all areas of life.
