and still-births. We believe all human life has value and is worthy of dignity, including the unborn.

If you are a community member who needs a pastor for a memorial service and can't afford an officiant, please contact us at admin@harvestak.com

PRE- MARITAL COUNSELING
& WEDDINGS

Harvest Fellowship offers a heartfelt approach to wedding ceremonies by officiating ceremonies without charging a pastoral fee. This practice underscores our commitment to serving the community and honoring the sanctity of marriage without financial barriers.

Harvest officiates weddings for regular attendees in alignment with traditional Biblical teachings. Our approach provides couples with a meaningful and budget-friendly option for their special day. We require pre-martial counseling through our Pastoral Staff or Elders prior to officiating any ceremonies.

For those interested in learning more about our wedding or pre-maritial services or other ministries, Harvest Fellowship Fairbanks welcomes inquiries and is dedicated to supporting couples as they embark on their marital journey.

BAPTISM

Harvest holds baptism as a significant ordinance, symbolizing a believer's public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. While not deemed necessary for salvation, baptism is practiced by full immersion to represent the believer's identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. This act serves as an outward expression of an inward transformation, illustrating the washing away of the old life and the emergence into a new life in Christ.

Only individuals who have personally accepted Jesus as their Savior are baptized, as it reflects a conscious decision to follow Him. Infant baptism is not practiced; instead, infants may be dedicated to the Lord.

Baptism is conducted in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, following the directive of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19. It is an act of obedience and love towards Jesus, signifying a believer's commitment to live according to His teachings. Baptism is not for the forgiveness of sins. Sins are forgiven upon belief in Jesus, and upon confession prior to baptism.

Calvary Chapel emphasizes that baptism is a step of obedience for those who have already been "born again," serving as a public testimony of their faith and a symbol of their new life in Christ. Contact us if you are interested in being baptized!

DECLARE MY FAITH

BABY DEDICATION

At Calvary Chapel, baby dedication is a special moment where parents publicly commit to raising their child in the love and instruction of the Lord. This is done at a church service, surrounded by family and friends. While not a baptism or a means of salvation, a baby dedication is a meaningful act of worship and prayer, asking God’s blessing over the child’s life and guidance for the parents.

Calvary Chapel believes that salvation comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a decision each individual must make for themselves. Therefore, Calvary Chapel does not practice infant baptism. Instead, baby dedications follow the biblical example found in 1 Samuel and Luke 2, where children were presented to the Lord.

This act is a beautiful way for families and the church body to partner together in faith, committing to nurture the child spiritually and support the parents through prayer and encouragement as they raise their child in a Christ-centered home.
